This Moscow Mule was inspired by a recent trip to the liquor store. While I was roaming down the aisles, the ingredients in most of the mixers and alcohol horrified me: high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, food coloring, additives…and the list goes on. Therefore, I made it my mission to make a delicious cocktail with powerful and good for you ingredients. Because, let’s face it. Sometimes you need to live a little. So when you do, you might as well nourish your body at the same time.
One of the main ingredients in Moscow Mules is either ginger beer or ginger ale. They both contain a high amount of sugar or corn syrup… and often, no actual real ginger! Therefore, I’ve swapped out the sugary artificially flavored bubbly with ginger juice, fresh ginger slices, and probiotic-rich ginger kombucha. These ingredients are good for soothing the gut and keeping it happy! This cocktail also utilizes fragrant fresh mint, lemon, and lime. Cheers!
